Durham University CareersAdvisory Service/Student Employment Service Assist students to find part time, temporary and vacation employment opportunities that fit in with their academic studies.

Presenting SMEs in the North East with the fantastic opportunity to utilise the skills of one of our talented under or postgraduate students within a project based work placement. We currently run two distinct NWE schemes:

  • Term-time programme; students undertake 100 hours work experience over a period of 3-4 months at a cost of £300 (plus VAT)
  • Summer programme; students are placed with you full time for a 5 or 10 week period at a cost of £600 or £1200 (plus VAT)

Both variations of NWE placements are designed to have measurable benefits for your organisation, offer a cost effective and flexible solution to business needs and bring fresh perspective and new ideas to your organisation. University of Sunderland Careers and Employability Service The Careers and Employability Service helps students and graduates to make career decisions, develop skills through work experience (part time, vacation, paid projects, volunteering, graduate develoment programmes), understand the graduate recruitment market and become effective applicants for work or further study.

University of Teeside Graduates for Business Helps recent graduates secure work placements in the North East.
University of York Student Internship Bureau Businesses in the York and North Yorkshire area can chooses from a range of internship options including full-time vacation internships, a part-time term-time option, PhD Internships and Graduate Internships All are intended to be based around a specific project designed to stretch the student and provide tangible benefit to the host organisation.
